The Master Is In

19 minutes is the final run time of "Touch the Sky". It just seems unreal that all the hard work that's gone into this project for the last year and a half all boils down to just 19 minutes. That's always the way it goes though.

Now the hard work really begins. I just got the cd mastered today, so all that's left is the artwork and the duplication. I'm trying to decide how many to make since this will be a collector's CD, I want to make it very rare. I'm thinking 200. That's it. Even if I sell out of em, I won't recoup all the money I spent on it, but what I'm hoping for is a buzz and good word of mouth ... that's something I could never buy.

And the Survey Says ... "It's Groooovy!"

I've gained ten pounds from Thanksgiving! Ok, maybe not but it certainly feels like it. Saw some cool concerts this month - Yolanda Adams (absolutely amazing! I was truly moved) and the Brazilian Girls (I'm a new fan, thanks B!). Also been working on my own stuff ... it's taking me a little bit longer than I'd hoped, so I'm probably looking at a January 2007 release for "Touch the Sky", but the good news is I'm also going to have a new website and a VERY cool something something that's coming out after that! Yeah, I've been trying 2 think outside the box a bit.

So far the response to Adonis has been all positive ... everyone basically says the same thing ..."it's very different, but groooovy! I like it, I like it alot!" So, that makes me feel good.

Not sure if I'm going to put a band together and gig this E.P. or not, still pondering over that, but there WILL be a couple of release/listening parties thanks to some very generous peeps.

I'm thinking I wanna make another video, one that LOGO will actually AIR this time, which probably means I can't say "penetrate" or suck the honey off another guy's finger in this video. I'm thinking a video for Adonis would be cool. Anybody out there got any ideas?

Tiger and Me on Oprah ... one day

Almost daily I have strangers telling me I look like Tiger Woods, so on this past Halloween Tuesday, guess who I dressed up as. Though, I doubt the real Tiger would EVER get as fucked up as I did that night. Matter of fact, this entire week has been one drunken episode after another. Would have made 4 a great soap opera. I think I should take a vow of sobriety ... 4 at least a week. Ah, fuck it ... plenty of time 4 that when I'm old.

So, I bid farewell to yet another friend ... I've lost him to the great city of New York ... a city I was supposed to have been living in myself five years ago, but somehow Baltimore got its clutches in me and I never made it. That's 3 friends in 2 months I've lost 2 the Big Apple. Someone remarked today that I would do so much better for myself and my music career in a city like L.A., San Fran or New York ... 2 which my answer has always been and continues 2 be ... if I can't get a good strong following here in B'more, how the hell could I do it anywhere else? Conquer the hometown first, right? Ah, what the hell do I know. Maybe I should follow suit and pack my bags and succumb 2 the allure of Manhattan or L.A.

4 now anyway, I've mapped out a pretty involved plan 4 my music career 4 the next year. I'm going 2 be successful ... so I'll just see where that success lands me. Maybe I'll end up on Oprah with Tiger Woods and he'll showme the right way to grip my club ... & improve my swing while he's at it. Ha!
